Jeffrey Fischer-Smith’s plays have been produced in New York at The Ensemble Studio Theatre, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, The Secret Theatre, Nuyorican Poets Café, and The Beckett Theatre. Regionally, his work has been produced in conjunction with The Drama League and Playwrights Horizons at the Hangar Theatre (Ithaca, NY), The Vail-Leavitt Music Hall (Riverhead, NY), Pegasus Theatre Company (Guerneville, CA), Doris Harper White Playhouse (Flagstaff, Arizona) and Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). Fischer-Smith’s work has been produced internationally at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and The Playhouse Theatre (Hobart, Tasmania, Australia). His plays have been published in Qu, a contemporary literary magazine from Queens University of Charlotte, and The LIC One Act Play Festival Vol. 2, Top Secret Books.  As a poet, he has been published by Three Line Poetry and The Risley Review.

Fischer-Smith is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and The Playwrights’ Center, and serves on the Board of Directors for City Theatre. He received the Hermann-McCalmon Playwriting Award and a Dean’s Scholars Research Award for playwriting while an undergraduate at Cornell University. He is currently a student at Spalding University in the MFA Writing program.
